In Nebraska, we are fortunate to have one of the most progressive and prosperous agricultural systems in the world thanks to our abundant natural resources, the ingenuity and hard work of our farmers, the good stewardship of our water governance districts and the research leadership of the University of Nebraska. Since 2010, the Robert B. Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute has harnessed these valuable resources to work toward a water and food secure future for our world. Through research and policy development, education and communication, the institute is enhancing knowledge, fostering future water and food security leaders and developing effective techniques to sustainably manage water and increase food security.
Do you share the institute’s dedication to this mission and want to support its efforts through financial contributions and advocacy? We encourage friends of the institute to become longterm partners, staying informed through our email newsletter and social media updates. Our donors are making a visible impact by supporting students with scholarships, donating to innovative research and development, or funding DWFI projects and activities. There are many ways you can be a part of feeding our world and preserving our freshwater resources. Josh Egley, director of development with the University of Nebraska Foundation, would be glad to visit with you to learn more about your interests and discuss areas within the institute that could benefit from your time, financial support or talent.
