The Water, Climate and Health (WCH) program has formally added Rachel Lookadoo, JD to its team. Lookadoo is an attorney and Director of Legal and Public Health Preparedness at the Center for Preparedness Education, which is a collaboration between UNMC and Creighton University. Her research areas include public health law; disaster preparedness; isolation and quarantine; climate; extreme weather; and climate change.
Housed in the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC)'s College of Public Health Department of Environmental, Agricultural & Occupational Health, the WCH program brings together experts from UNMC, the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute at the University of Nebraska to address Nebraska’s most pressing public health issues related to water and climate.
