Bringing the latest water and agriculture expertise to all Nebraskans requires collaboration across the University of Nebraska system. To build these collaborations, directors from DWFI, the Nebraska Water Center (NWC) and the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) met with the new Dean of Extension, Charles Stoltenow and welcomed him to his new role. The meeting is just the first in regular communications between these teams. The goal of the initial meeting was to highlight ongoing partnerships that address key issues in the state.
Stoltenow took on leadership of Extension on January 1, 2022. Nebraska Extension brings University of Nebraska expertise and research in eight key areas of impact directly to Nebraskans from all walks of life in each of the state’s 93 counties.
DWFI, NWC and the IANR Water and Integrated Cropping Systems team (WICS) provide water leadership across the University’s mission of research, extension, and teaching.
