Truke Smoor

Truke Smoor is Sustainability Director and Environmental Programs Director Water at Cargill and leads the development and implementation of the global water strategy and water compliance programs. Truke has a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands and started her career at DSM, a chemicals and nutrition company. At DSM she rose to the position of global competence lead water where she led the development and execution of the sustainable water management strategy. After leaving DSM she worked as a consultant in the United States supporting leading environmental NGO's, like the World Recourses Institute, as well as large multinationals in development of their environmental programs, resulting in tangible action and effective collaborations between the private sector and NGO's.
