Bio: Erin Anders is an agroecosystem scientist specializing in program management, research, and capacity building. As a senior program manager, she oversees programs dedicated to enhancing agricultural productivity and resource management within sub-Saharan Africa. These programs specifically emphasize the implementation and improvement of smallholder irrigation and mechanization systems. Erin is dedicated to fostering resilient agricultural practices and livelihoods through farmer-centric programs, on-farm research, and context-specific technical assistance. She began consulting for the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute in 2024.
A Montana native, Erin holds a Ph.D. in Crop and Soil Sciences with a concentration in Ecological Food and Farming Systems from Michigan State University, and a B.S. in Agroecology with minors in Soil Science and Anthropology from the University of Wyoming.
