Arshdeep Singh is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received his B.Sc. in Agriculture from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, and his Master’s Degree in Natural Resources from Auburn University, AL. His current research focuses on optimizing Nitrogen and Water Inputs for Corn to reduce nitrate leaching. He is a member of the soil sensor technical working group for the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON). He is selected as an Encompass Scholar by the American Society of Agronomy, the Crop Science Society of America, and the Soil Science Society of America and sponsored by Bayer. His research interests include nitrogen management, land-use change, and the water cycle. After completing his Ph.D., he plans to continue working in close collaboration with academia, industry, producers, and community in general for continuing the study of ways to improve agricultural systems in our days.
