Graduate students are encouraged to share their research posters at the 2025 Water for Food Global Conference! The conference brings together over 400 international thought leaders working to solve one of the world’s most pressing issues — feeding a growing planet while preserving our precious natural resources. The full conference will be held April 28–May 2, 2025 at the Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA, and is hosted by the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute at the University of Nebraska.
Research posters that relate to one of the following conference themes are encouraged to present:
- Water management for high-productivity commercial agriculture
- Smallholder agricultural water management
- Environmental and human health in agricultural systems
The conference is a premier opportunity for students to present their posters to hundreds of international scientists, scholars and decision-makers from academia, government, industry, private foundations and NGOs.
All student poster presenters must register for the conference at a special reduced rate of $150 and submit an abstract in advance. If approved, students are responsible for printing and hanging their poster during set-up (2:30-4:30 p.m., April 29), as well as attending the evening reception (6:30-8:30 p.m., April 29), where student research posters will be displayed. Students should be available during this time to answer questions and network with conference attendees and a panel of judges who will present awards to the top three posters.
Student posters will be judged on:
- A succinct and informative abstract.
- A clear explanation of why the research was done and why the results are important.
- How well included figures convey the research and explanations of any statistical analyses.
- The presenter's ability to expertly discuss the poster and answer questions.
