DWFI Visiting Scholar Thomas Rocha Ferreira recently attended the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting. On December 16, Thomas presented his research and methodology on irrigation and remote sensing in northeast Brazil's semiarid region. The lightning presentation was well received and several attendees asked follow-up questions. Thomas is at DWFI through a Fulbright scholarship and is currently a doctoral student at the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG) in the state of Paraiba, Brazil.
