Tony Delaney has spent the past decade working in various competitive research settings in areas spanning from biochemistry/biotechnology, plant genetics, agronomy, food science, virology and nutrition and health sciences. He joined the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute (DWFI) at the University of Nebraska in January 2024 as a Research Project Manager to manage the day-to-day operations and logistics of the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Irrigation and Mechanization Systems (ILIMS).
Delaney holds a B.S. degree in biochemistry, an M.S. in agronomy with a specialization in plant breeding and genetics, and an M.B.A. with a specialization in supply chain management, all from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He has developed a passion for bridging the world of science with the community to help address real world issues, particularly those pertaining to agriculture, health, sustainability, and resilience.
