Ellie Hiser

Elliana (Ellie) Hiser joined the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute in the summer of 2024, working with engineers and researchers optimizing water use and availability to increase food production in the United States. She also conducted research on water permitting in the Eastern United States, working to develop cohesive definitions and understandings of legislation between states. She now conducts water policy research, analyzing water rights and markets for agricultural use in the United States.
Ellie is a sophomore at Stanford University majoring in International Relations with minors in Human Rights and Modern Languages. She is passionate about international policy, global health, and improving human rights and health outcomes through strategic policy interventions.
