Dr. Yeyin Shi is an associate professor in the Department of Biological Systems Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her research and teaching focus on automating the application process and enhancing decision-making in agricultural production and natural resource management. Her team developed sensing technology and data analytics to monitor vegetation growth, biomass, and abiotic and biotic stresses or predict yield. Recently, they have focused on developing AI-powered intelligent spray drone systems. She teaches precision and digital agriculture classes.
