
Samira Daroub is the Director of the Everglades Research and Education Center and a Professor in the Department of Soil, Water, and Ecosystem Sciences at the University of Florida/IFAS. She earned a MS in Soil Science from the American University of Beirut and a PhD in Soil Chemistry from Michigan State University. She established a nationally recognized research program on soil and water quality. She serves on the National Committee of Soil Sciences and is President of the Soil Science Society of America. She is a Fellow of the Soil Science Society of America and American Society of Agronomy.
