Ruhiza Jean Boroto works for the Food and Agriculture Organization as a Senior Officer. He has overseen the development of the Global Framework on Water Scarcity in Agriculture (WASAG) partnership since 2017. Prior, he provided technical assistance to countries from the Regional Office for Africa in agriculture water management, climate change, land use and tenure, soils, bioenergy, sustainable agriculture and value chains. He is a water engineer and has served as a senior civil servant in South Africa and a regional water expert for the Global Water Partnership - Southern Africa.
