Moisés Schmidt is a rural producer, businessman and one of the main leaders of agribusiness in Bahia. He is the president of the Association of Farmers and Irrigators of Bahia (Aiba). His professional career is linked to the management of the Schmidt Group, an organization specialized in the production of fibers, grains and fruits since 1979. In 2019, he pioneered the introduction of full-sun cocoa cultivation in the western region of Bahia, using advanced technology. The project, initially with 400 hectares, achieves productivity of over 4 tons per hectare and gave rise to the Cacau do Cerrado brand, which produces chocolate from the seedling to the final product. He leads the Aiba Institute (Iaiba), the social arm of the entity that has already invested more than R$ 17 million in more than 380 projects, benefiting around 400 thousand people in the region. He leads the 19th edition of the Bahia Farm Show, the largest agricultural technology and business fair in the North and Northeast of Brazil.
