Graduated in Law from Universidade Potiguar in Natal (Rio Grande do Norte). Currently she serves as Director of the Irrigation Department at the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development, a federal government agency responsible for leading and implementing the actions of the National Irrigation Policy, established by Law No. 12,787/2013. She also serves as Coordinator of the Technical Chamber for Water Use Rights and Charges (CTOC).
