Sustainable Agriculture Solutions for Africa
Jay is a Nebraska producer and Secretary/Treasurer of the U.S. Grain Council Board of Directors. Jay grew corn and soybeans with his wife near Juanita, Nebraska until he retired after the 2024 growing season. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and served in Nebraska's Army National Guard. In 1992, Reiners' Farms received the Aksarben's Pioneer Farm Award. Jay served as the chairman of the Nebraska Corn Board and has served in leadership positions on the local, state, and national levels. He is also a partner, along with fellow Nebraska farmer, Brandon Hunnicutt, in Sustainable Agriculture Solutions for Africa, a consulting group that teaches farmers sustainable modern agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa, primarily Ghana and Kenya.
