Dave Johnson, Principal Scientist, brings over thirty years of environmental instrumentation experience combining field work on government funded research projects (US Department of Agriculture/DOE and Smithsonian Institution/NASA). In 2006 Dave joined LI-COR, the leading innovative commercial technology company that designs, engineers, and manufactures instrumentation for environmental research. His diverse roles at LI-COR have included work as a scientist, engineer, support specialist, and product manager. While at LI-COR, he has led environmental hardware and software products from concept, through development, and to the market. He has organized and participated in more than 70 workshops around the world, training over 3000 researchers and scientists. Educational webinars conducted by Dave for eddy covariance, light, and ecosystem measurements have been viewed over 25,000 times.
Dave received his Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree in Bioengineering from Arizona State University in 1993 and his M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Central Florida in 2002.
