Brandon Hunnicutt

I am a fifth-generation farmer who currently farms with my dad (Daryl) and my brother (Zach). I live on the farmstead that has been in the family for over 100 years. We raise corn, soybeans, and popcorn. We have raised seed corn and organic production as well. I am married to Lisa, and we have seven kids: Kinsley, Payton, Bréley, Truett, Fallon, Breslyn, and Vashti. I graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Ag Business. I spent many years working on post-graduate classes dealing especially in technology, plant breeding, leadership, communications, and science. Our farm tries to stay on the cutting edge of technology, allowing me to be featured in numerous farm publications and sit on the farm panel for the annual conference of the Water for Food Institute. I have also been able to help encourage others, especially in agriculture, to use social media to help tell the story of agriculture and the exciting things we are doing to help protect the environment while increasing food, feed, fiber, and fuel production for Nebraska and the world. This has also allowed me to be featured in numerous magazines as we show the importance of this conversation tool. I am currently the Chairman of the Nebraska Corn Board and have been on the Board for 10 years. I spent 6 years on the National Corn Growers Board of Directors and have served on different Action Teams. I currently serve as Secretary for Field to Market and spent 4 years as Chairman of the Board. I have served as President of the Nebraska Corn Growers Association, President and Secretary of the Nebraska Agriculture Technologies Association, Past Chairman of the Grower Services Action Team for the National Corn Growers Association. I am a Board member of the Hamilton County Farm Bureau and Hamilton County Corn Growers. I am a member of the Nebraska Soybean Association and the Agriculture Builders of Nebraska.
