Areas of Specialization
My research focuses on several aspects of diversified cropping systems including crop and soil management, carbon and nitrogen cycling, water and weed dynamics, as well as policy and human dimensions. This includes collaborations regionally on cover crops, internationally with the APSIM modeling community, and active engagement with the perennial grains community. In my current role, I teach several undergraduate courses in crop management. Notably, I was a part of a team that co-developed and implemented a multi-university course on cover crops. Overall, my team is passionate about building a more equitable and sustainable food system. We aim to achieve this through our shared values -- treating others and ourselves with respect, kindness, and empathy.
