4th global Water for Food Conference

Mark your calendars and hold the dates for the fourth annual global Water for Food Conference May 30-June 1 in Lincoln, Neb., USA. This year’s theme is “Blue Water, Green Water and the Future of Agriculture.”

Organized by the Robert B. Daugherty Water for Food Institute at the University of Nebraska, this conference attracts participants from around the globe, drawing 450 participants from 24 nations in 2011. The 2012 conference will feature:

  • Plenary sessions with world-class speakers from academia, government and private sectors.
  • A CEO panel: Industry and philanthropic perspectives on water for food.
  • A View from the Field from an international group of producers.
  • Women, water and food panel discussion
  • Technical sessions on characterizing groundwater resources and new crop technologies for improved performance in tough environments
  • Case studies on governing water management
  • A poster competition and much more.
