“Suzanne Polzkill, local to Lincoln, Neb., is an undergraduate student working on a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource and Environmental Economics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a focus on Water Science, as well as pursuing certification in Public Policy Analysis. Suzanne is currently working with DWFI to establish a database of surface water and groundwater policies throughout the High Plains region through research and integration of existing public records.

Suzanne’s personal research interests involve urban water and food security, particularly investigating the merits of urban agricultural methods and green infrastructure. She hopes to work with communities to establish sustainable localized food systems and believes her time with DWFI will give her greater insight into resource management.”
