In 2010, five Robert B. Daugherty Water for Food Institute Faculty fellows from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln traveled to Ethiopia to begin a project aimed at addressing water insecurity and improving rural livelihoods. The following year, funding from the Water for Food Institute enabled them to return and interview farmers, perform health assessments, collaborate with Ethiopia’s Haramaya and Wollo universities and partner with a nongovernmental organization to drill more than 30 irrigation wells. This video tells the story of the project in their words.
